Wolfson: I’m glad you’re bringing it up because we are so involved in our business and day-to-day routines that we never really do celebrate or acknowledge the fact of being together. By the way, I’ll add I was fortunate to be paired with Phil (Simms) for 13 years and Tracy joined us in that run. That to me is really the sweetest part of the business, not having these hit-and-run relationships. Nick Faldo and I are now going on our 14th year together (on golf) and then Raft (Bill Raftery), Grant (Hill) and Tracy are coming up on our eighth year (on college basketball).

I was with Ken Venturi for 17 years (on golf). I was with Billy Packer for 18 years (on CBS’ college basketball coverage). I treasure when you have that kind of longevity with people you enjoy working with. The longevity part of the business is, I think, underrated. I’ve been a part of some extraordinary teams. Nantz: I think it’s a nice milestone, and I had not given any thought on it until CBS Sports uncovered this. What does doing 100 games together mean to you? This week I sat down with Nantz, Romo and Wolfson for a 45-minute Zoom conversation to discuss the 100th game milestone as well as where they see themselves as a unit. You get good people who are talented and care, and that makes it easy.” We have a lot of talented people around and I think that’s why this whole thing works. It’s fun when you like the other person and you see them succeed. “You also want people you want to hang out with. “You’re trying to find good people who work really hard, know what they’re doing, and that combination makes everything really easy,” Romo said. The sky is the limit because we’re just getting started.” We’re open to new ideas, we’re open to getting better every single week and we’ve been able to do that. “Our leaders in Jim Rikhoff, Ryan Galvin, and Mike Arnold are able to put it together, and Tony, Jim and I go out there very selfless and try and make it a three-man crew. “I think we have an incredibly talented and very selfless team,” said Wolfson. “It’s real, it’s authentic, what you hear on the air is pretty much exactly as it is off the air. “I think in its simplest form we enjoy each other’s company,” Nantz said. Nantz re-signed with CBS in 2021, and Wolfson’s deal goes beyond this season.

Much was written on Romo re-signing with CBS, including here. This group is going to be together for years beyond 2021. Sports networks want stability with game and studio teams for an obvious reason - consistency provides viewers with a known quantity.
